Tune In Tuesday (159)

Tune In Tuesday

Hi there everyone! How is your Tuesday going so far? I am still recovering from BEA but I must say it was such a blast! I was able to meet so many incredible authors, bloggers, and people of the book industry. Since I haven’t really had the time to prepare songs in advance for this Tune In Tuesday, it is going to be all sorts of random courtesy of my Spotify “Starred” playlist. I hope you enjoy!

Heaven by Boyce Avenue and Megan Nicole

Simple Man by Deftones

Everything Has Changed by Julia Sheer and Landon Austin

I guess today was the day of all the cover songs! If you have a Tune In Tuesday this week, be sure to leave your link in the comments section!

Tune In Tuesday

Tune In Tuesday is a weekly feature in which bloggers get to showcase another one of their loves, music! This feature was originally created by Ginger over at GReads! but you can now find it here at Kate’s Tales of Books and Bands. If you would like to participate in this weekly feature, make a blog post showcasing a song (or a few!) and link up at the bottom of this post by clicking the cute blue guy! While you’re here make sure to check out all the other awesome blogs that have decided to participate!

Hi there fellow music lovers! How is your Tuesday going so far? I hope it is going fantastically!

To me, music should always be listened to at random. Every time I purchase a CD, I can only listen to it on random and every time I turn on my Spotify or iTunes, the random button is the second button I press after play. With this being said, I decided I would go for a random post today. I pulled up my Spotify and let it do all the work. I hope you all enjoy and I cannot wait to see what picks you have for this awesome Tuesday!

When Nothing’s Left by Royal Wood

Royal Wood is another Spotify suggestion that I absolutely love!

Radioactive by Boyce Avenue

It’s no secret that I adore all things Boyce Avenue. I just love his song covers!

Dancing With The Devil by Wolf Gang

Wolf Gang has such a unique sound that I can’t seem to get enough of.

Take My Hand by The Cab featuring Cassadee Pope

I haven’t listened to The Cab in so long but they are one of those bands that I never get sick of, no matter how much time has passed. And look, it’s Cassadee Pope in her Hey Monday days!

Whistle by Flo Rida

This song is as disturbing as it is catchy. Even now, almost 2 years after this single was released, I still can’t help but dance around to it.

Tune In Tuesday Cover Edition

Tune In Tuesday is a weekly feature in which bloggers get to showcase another one of their loves, music! Hello everyone! I hope your Monday treated you well and that your Tuesday is off to an awesome start. This post concludes the special Cover Edition of Tune In Tuesday. I have had an absolute BLAST seeing everyone’s covers and I hope you have enjoyed it as well. And just so we’re clear, the month of October will be another “normal” month for us Tune-In-Tuesday-Ers! I’ve got quite a big post for you guys today because, quite honestly, I couldn’t narrow down the list. I hope you enjoy!

Dead And Gone by Cute Is What We Aim For (Original by T.I. and Justin Timberlake)

If you haven’t yet, you NEED to listen to at least one of the “Punk Goes…” albums. My personal favorite is Punk Goes Classic Rock but the Punk Goes Pop (where this song comes from) is close second. The original got way overplayed on the radio when it first came out but I love this cover of it.

Caught Up In You by We The Kings (Original by .38 Special)

You had to have known I would throw in a We The Kings song. They have done a few covers, The Middle being another favorite, but I just love how fun and upbeat this one is!

You’re The One That I Want by Angus & Julia Stone (Original by John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John)

I love, love, freaking LOVE this version of the song. It is so hauntingly beautiful and totally different from the original.

The One That Got Away by Tiffany Alvord and Chester See (Original by Katy Perry)

Both Tiffany and Chester are amazing artists I found on YouTube. I liked Katy’s version of this song but I really like this version a lot more mostly due to the fact that they slowed it down a lot.

Let Her Go by Tyler Ward (Original by Passenger)

Tyler Ward is another artist I found on YouTube who does some fantastic covers. This particular one is a favorite although it really is hard to narrow it down because I sort of love them all hardcore. He really didn’t change this one up a whole lot from the original and I think that’s what I like most about it.

Ring Of Fire by Lennon and Maisy (Original by Johnny Cash)

Every time I hear these two perform, I am blown away by their natural talent. I could listen to them sing the phone book and I would be entertained for hours and hours but you know what, I think I will stick with a Johnny Cash classic in the meantime.

Bette Davis Eyes by Taylor Swift (Original by Kim Carnes)

Nothing can beat the orignal of this one but I must say, I really enjoy Taylor’s cover of it. Her voice is totally different from Kim’s so it makes for a really interesting cover.

Ho Hey by Boyce Avenue (Original by The Lumineers)

This couldn’t even be called cover edition if I didn’t feature the kings of it, Boyce Avenue. Every cover, and yes, I do mean EVERY. SINGLE. COVER. by them is simply amazing. This guy has some truly amazing skills.

Your Love by Fay Wolf (Original by The Outfield)

This will go down in history as my all-time, absolute FAVORITE cover. EVER. I love the original something fierce; it’s one of those songs I can listen to over and over again but there is just something about this cover that I love just a teensy bit more. Hope you enjoy!

Tune-In Tuesday (26)

Tune In Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Ginger @ GReads so you should head on over and link up! It is a great way to bounce from blog to blog and discover what others are listening to! I love music but there is so much out there that I haven’t heard of before. That being said, feel free to leave a link to your Tune-In Tuesday post!

This past week I was listening to a Pandora station (as I so often do) when a song came on. I have heard the song(s) included in this before but have never heard that exact version. Sound confusing? Well, at the moment it was. This guy was singing a mix of Alicia Keys, Jordan Sparks, and Black Eyed Peas all in one song! This blew my mind. Then I realized who it was singing it, none other than Boyce Avenue. Of course it all made sense after that because Boyce Avenue totally kicks butt when it comes to covers. I could listen to Boyce Avenue’s cover to nearly every song out there (yes, even Polka music is included in this) and I would love them all the same! Just take a listen and tell me what you think!

P.s. I was feeling some MAJOR love for Boyce Avenue but I just can’t post every cover song they have done. You NEED to check out more by them, these are just a few of my favorites!

I never would have thought those three songs could be combined together like that but the result is awesome!

Bruno Mars rocks my socks off and I just adored this song when it came out. I love their version of it too!

You can’t out-do the original of this song but Boyce Avenue sure did a wonderful job on it!

This one is TOTALLY for Ashley and Cyndi! We had a wonderful conversation about how awesome Christina Perri is so I got super excited when I saw they covered one of my favorites by her!

Excuse me while I show my Taylor Swift fan-girlnesses right now! (Sorry, DirtyBrit!) I just had to show their version of one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs! I still like Taylor’s version a whole lot more but it was interesting seeing it as a duet!
