It’s been a crazy couple of weeks! Even though I have placed a book buying ban on myself and I am “technically” still not accepting review books, the books just seem to keep piling up and I cannot keep up. I have been trying to keep a running list of the books received on a little post it note but I may have missed some…or a lot (quite likely considering how frazzled I have been lately). If I find any that I missed this week, I will be sure to post them next week!

For Review:

That Time I Joined The Circus

That Time I Joined The Circus by J.J. Howard (NetGalley)

My Thoughts: I saw the words “music-obsessed, slightly snarky” and instantly thought I HAD to read this book! I also LOVE that it features a circus. Even though they can be all sorts of cheesy, circuses are also kind of enchanting! Thanks Scholastic!

Golden

Golden by Jessi Kirby (Edelwise)

My Thoughts: This sounds like an absolute gem! I am such a fan of a YA Contemporary, and it seems as if this story will not disappoint. Thanks Simon & Schuster!

Strands of Bronze and Gold

Strands of Bronze and Gold by Jane Nickerson (NetGalley)

My Thoughts: A fairytale retelling!!! It has been far too long since I’ve read a fairytale-inspired story. Thank you Random House!

Burning 2

Burning by Elana K. Arnold (NetGalley)

My Thoughts: I know this is totally not the same thing but I did a project in my International Communications class on Gypsies. When I saw this girl is from a Gypsy family, I was completely hooked. I am incredibly excited for this particular book! Thank you Delacorte Books!

The Secret Ingredient

The Secret Ingredient by Stewart Lewis

My Thoughts: This book sounds like it is full of so much awesome, I just don’t know what to even comment on first. Food, psychics, her dads, finding out who her mom is, a boy! Gosh, it’s going to be epic I just know it. Thanks Delacorte Books!

The Sweetest Dark

The Sweetest Dark by Shana Abe (NetGalley)

My Thoughts: The summary included romance, adventure, and magic. Need I say more? Thank you Bantam!

Riptide

Riptide by Lindsey Scheide (NetGalley)

My Thoughts: Due to my chronic clumsiness, I could never even attempt surfing but I have always been fascinated by it. I cannot wait to read a book that is so centered around surfing! Thank you Flux!
