It’s been a crazy couple of weeks! Even though I have placed a book buying ban on myself and I am “technically” still not accepting review books, the books just seem to keep piling up and I cannot keep up. I have been trying to keep a running list of the books received on a little post it note but I may have missed some…or a lot (quite likely considering how frazzled I have been lately). If I find any that I missed this week, I will be sure to post them next week!

For Review:

That Time I Joined The Circus

That Time I Joined The Circus by J.J. Howard (NetGalley)

My Thoughts: I saw the words “music-obsessed, slightly snarky” and instantly thought I HAD to read this book! I also LOVE that it features a circus. Even though they can be all sorts of cheesy, circuses are also kind of enchanting! Thanks Scholastic!

Golden

Golden by Jessi Kirby (Edelwise)

My Thoughts: This sounds like an absolute gem! I am such a fan of a YA Contemporary, and it seems as if this story will not disappoint. Thanks Simon & Schuster!

Strands of Bronze and Gold

Strands of Bronze and Gold by Jane Nickerson (NetGalley)

My Thoughts: A fairytale retelling!!! It has been far too long since I’ve read a fairytale-inspired story. Thank you Random House!

Burning 2

Burning by Elana K. Arnold (NetGalley)

My Thoughts: I know this is totally not the same thing but I did a project in my International Communications class on Gypsies. When I saw this girl is from a Gypsy family, I was completely hooked. I am incredibly excited for this particular book! Thank you Delacorte Books!

The Secret Ingredient

The Secret Ingredient by Stewart Lewis

My Thoughts: This book sounds like it is full of so much awesome, I just don’t know what to even comment on first. Food, psychics, her dads, finding out who her mom is, a boy! Gosh, it’s going to be epic I just know it. Thanks Delacorte Books!

The Sweetest Dark

The Sweetest Dark by Shana Abe (NetGalley)

My Thoughts: The summary included romance, adventure, and magic. Need I say more? Thank you Bantam!

Riptide

Riptide by Lindsey Scheide (NetGalley)

My Thoughts: Due to my chronic clumsiness, I could never even attempt surfing but I have always been fascinated by it. I cannot wait to read a book that is so centered around surfing! Thank you Flux!

Bought:

Mortal Obligation

Mortal Obligation by Nichole Chase

My Thoughts: I saw that this was free on Amazon after an author friend of mine posted it on Facebook. They highly recommended it so I figured I would give it a shot!

Against The Wall

Against The Wall by Julie Prestsater

My Thoughts: Again, this was an Amazon freebie and it ended up being a pretty cute story! It was pretty short and kept me entertained!

The Deepest Cut

The Deepest Cut by J.A. Templeton

My Thoughts: Ghosts, Scotland, an unlikely romance, FREE? Yes please!

Off Sides

Off Sides by Sawyer Bennett

My Thoughts: This book sounds SOO good! I cannot wait to get started on it!

All For Anna

All For Anna by Nicole Deese

My Thoughts: This is a New Adult title that I have never heard of before. It showed up on my recommendations list on Amazon so I downloaded it!

Awakened

Awakened by Brenda K. Davies

My Thoughts: Okay, it was free, I liked the cover, and I’ll be honest, I haven’t read a vampire book in quite some time! I am feeling I need to fix that soon!

CG_eBookCov_1300x1950

So Into You by Cecilia Gray

My Thoughts: A modern-day Jane Austen retelling!!! I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Rebound

Rebound by Kiahana Sublie

My Thoughts: It was free and it sounded cute enough! I love those tales where the rebound guy turns out to be the right guy.

Wait For You

Wait For You by J. Lynn

My Thoughts: I am dying to read this book, dying I tell you! I cannot even express how fantastic this book seems to me. The second I get a free day, I am sitting my butt in bed and reading this bad boy from cover to cover!

For Review:

Keeping Secrets In Seattle

Keeping Secrets In Seattle by Brooke Moss (e-book)

Miss Me Not

I received a few books this week that I am pretty excited about! Two review books plus three books I found at my local bargain book store make for a very happy Katelyn!

For Review:

Geek Girl

Geek Girl by Holly Smale (e-book)

My Thoughts: I have always been insanely jealous of people who are able to sprout off random, usually unknown facts off of the top of their head. Originally, that is what drew my attention to this book but I must admit, ALL of it sounds kind of awesome! Thank you HarperCollins!

My Wolf's Bane

My Wolf’s Bane by Veronica Blade (e-book)

My Thoughts: I received this book for a blog tour I am part of during the month of March. It has been quite a while since I’ve read a wolf book so I am really excited to read it! Thank you Crush Publishing!

Bought:

Calamity Jayne

Calamity Jayne by Kathleen Bacus

My Thoughts: I am part way through this book and am loving it so far! It is a murder mystery but it also so funny and I foresee a little romance in the future of this series (and I am always a fan of a little romance!) It came highly recommended by the woman who works at the bookstore so I figured I’d buy the first three books in the series (all under $3!) and see if it’s something I’ll like (which I most certainly think it is!)

Calamity Jayne Rides Again
