Hi there! How is your Tuesday coming along so far?
Last week I got quite the surprise and yes, I promise this surprise has something to do with today’s post! I was watching The Voice when one of the contestants sang a song. I happened to mention that I liked the song and the band that originally sang it. The next day my brother surprised me with tickets to this particular band’s concert. Once I got over the shock that my younger brother was actually a lot more observant and considerate than I first believed, I then jumped for joy because I would be going to a concert that is sure to be Ah-MAZING!
So which band is it that I’m talking about you may say? Well none other than MGMT! My love for this band started about 5 years ago when I went to see the movie 21. My friends and I LOVED that movie so much that we went to see it more than a few times. It just so happens that MGMT’s song played during the opening of that movie and ever since I have been a fan. I’ve picked a few of my favorites to share with you today. Hope you enjoy!
Time To Pretend by MGMT
This was the first MGMT song I ever heard. They have a very happy sound to them and this song certainly showcases that.
Kids by MGMT
There is just something about this particular one that I love a bit more than all of the rest.
Electric Feel by MGMT
Electric Feel is tied with Time To Pretend as my second favorite MGMT song. I love, love, love it!
Electric Feel by Preston Pohl (Original by MGMT)
As much as I love MGMT’s almost high-pitch sound, I love how Preston’s raspy tone made this song sound. It only made me love it even more!
